Chongqing Airport to Jiefangbei

Choose your terminal, take the right interchange and finish at the hotel’s actual entrance. Here is the metro route, the T2 alternative and what to do after the last connecting train.

Line 10 → Zengjiayan → Line 2 → Linjiangmen.

  • From the airport T2 or T3 metro station, take Line 10 toward Lanhualu, change at Zengjiayan to Line 2 toward Jiaochangkou, and get off at Linjiangmen for the monument side of Jiefangbei.
  • At T2, Line 3 via Niujiaotuo is an alternative. T3 does not have direct Line 3 access.
  • With heavy bags, a difficult hotel entrance or a late arrival, compare an official metered taxi or a transfer you have confirmed in advance.

Allow roughly 60–90 minutes from the airport metro station to a central hotel as a planning allowance, not a timetable. Immigration, baggage collection and T3B transfers are additional.

Start with the terminal on your flight

T3B opened in April 2025. Follow your flight details and current airport signs; airline terminal allocations can change.

The metro route, step by step

  1. Choose Linjiangmen only if it fits your hotel

    Linjiangmen (临江门) is a useful target for the Liberation Monument. Ask your hotel for its preferred station and exit first; Jiefangbei is a district, not a single station or entrance.

  2. Board Line 10 toward Lanhualu

    At 江北机场T2航站楼 or 江北机场T3航站楼, select 临江门 as the destination when buying your journey. Take the city-bound Line 10 service toward 兰花路. Check the platform destination display.

  3. Change at Zengjiayan / 曾家岩

    Follow the Line 2 / 2号线 interchange signs inside the paid area. Take the platform toward Jiaochangkou / 较场口, rather than the opposite direction toward Yudong.

  4. Leave at Linjiangmen / 临江门

    Use the exit your hotel has supplied. There is no single correct exit for every Jiefangbei hotel. Before using stairs with bags, ask staff for a lift route.

  5. Finish at the real hotel entrance

    Use the hotel’s entrance pin and Chinese address for the last stretch. A building name or straight-line walking distance may send you to a different level. If needed, arrange a vehicle-accessible drop-off with reception.

T2 alternative: Line 3 via Niujiaotuo

From the T2 station, take Line 3 toward Yudong (鱼洞) to Niujiaotuo (牛角沱). Change to Line 2 toward Jiaochangkou (较场口), then leave at Linjiangmen (临江门).

Use this as a second option if staff or current service information recommends it. T3 passengers do not need to travel to T2 just to use Line 3 when Line 10 is operating normally.

Times are approximate. Allow extra time for queues and traffic, and confirm the fare before booking.

If you arrive late

  1. Check the whole connection

    The last train leaving the airport is not necessarily the last train that connects to Line 2. Ask the metro desk whether you can still reach 临江门 tonight, including the transfer.

  2. Use the official taxi queue if the connection is over

    Follow the signed taxi rank, show the hotel’s Chinese address and use the meter. Keep the receipt. For an app-booked car, use its designated pickup point and check the plate.

  3. Keep a backup offline

    Save the hotel name, address, phone number and entrance screenshot before landing. Tell reception if you will arrive after midnight; check that your booking covers that night.

Arrival questions

Is Jiefangbei the name of a metro station?
Use the station your hotel recommends: Linjiangmen, Jiaochangkou or Xiaoshizi may fit different parts of the district. The route on this page ends at Linjiangmen for the monument side.
Is the metro always the best choice with luggage?
Not always. Interchanges, the exit and the hotel entrance all matter. Ask about lifts and the last stretch before deciding; a taxi can be worth the extra cost.
Can I use the airport’s published closing time to plan my transfer?
No. Check the last connecting journey to your destination, not just the last departure from the airport. If staff cannot confirm it, choose a road transfer.
