Local knowledge and official information

We’re the Chongqing Trips team, a group of travel enthusiasts based in the city. Our recommendations draw on local knowledge and the practical questions visitors ask when planning their stay.

For entry requirements, transport and attraction services, our guides link to relevant authorities and operators where sources are available. Source notes explain which details were checked and when. Recommendations about pace, neighbourhoods and how to spend your time reflect our editorial judgement.

Before you travel

• Confirm entry and transit requirements with the National Immigration Administration and your airline.
• Check an attraction's current reservation and opening arrangements before setting off.
• Ask your hotel and venue directly about the specific entrance, stairs and lifts if you need step-free access.
