A useful starting point, then your own quotes

Share rooms and rides correctly
Hotel prices are per room per night, with two adults per room in these samples. Metro fares and tickets are per adult. Car costs are per vehicle: the planner defaults to three passengers per car, which you can adjust after checking luggage capacity.
Leave room for the trip you actually want
The default plan includes airport arrival and departure, a return cableway allowance and a 10% contingency reserve. Change or remove them to match your itinerary. Free public sights add no admission cost; optional experiences and extra transport still need a budget.
Day trips, shopping, insurance, drinks and snacks are not included automatically. Add your own quotes. If a day tour already includes meals or transport, use My own quotes and remove the overlapping daily costs.

How much does a Chongqing trip cost?
Your hotel and dining choices make a big difference. The samples here span ¥120–250 for an economy room, ¥260–420 for a comfort room and ¥680–1,050 for an upscale room per night. A simple three-meal allowance is ¥60–68 per adult per day; a local lunch with a restaurant or hotpot dinner is ¥117–153, before drinks and snacks. Add transport and the tickets you want using the calculator.
Are these live booking prices?
No. Hotel and meal allowances use the Chongqing Trips team's sample collection dated 3 October 2026; hotel stays were quoted for 8 and 11 October. The result is a planning range, not a booking offer, statistical average or guarantee for your dates. Check the final room price, breakfast, fees and cancellation terms before paying.
Does the budget include flights or a Dazu or Wulong day trip?
No, unless you add those costs yourself. The automatic estimate covers city accommodation, meals, selected city transport, airport legs and selected tickets. For a package day tour, use the own-quotes mode to avoid counting included meals or transport twice.
Can I use it for children or holiday travel?
The quick estimate uses adult fares and two-adult room samples. Use your actual family-room and child-ticket quotes in the own-quotes mode. Holiday rooms, peak demand and late-night transport can exceed the sample range; the contingency reserve is not a holiday surcharge forecast.
