On arrival, in order

  1. Collect bags and get connected

    Have roaming or data-plan instructions ready. Allow for border formalities where applicable and baggage collection before calculating when you can leave.

  2. Choose the actual hotel entrance

    Save the Chinese address and ask about vehicle access or the recommended metro exit. A district name is not a drop-off point.

  3. Go to the right pickup

    For a regular taxi, follow official taxi signs. For DiDi, follow the booking’s pickup instructions. For a transfer, use the meeting point agreed with the provider.

  4. Check the fare basis

    Taxi: use the meter. DiDi: check the app total. Transfer: confirm the written total and waiting terms. Ask whether tolls or other extras are included.

Flying out of Chongqing

Use the airline’s check-in and boarding deadlines for your flight. Work backwards from the required terminal arrival, adding travel and a delay buffer.

For a T3B gate, include the internal connection. Recheck the terminal and gate on the day; the metro journey is only part of reaching your flight.

How long to my hotel?
Use the planner’s area ranges as transport allowances. Add border formalities, bags, queues and the final approach; traffic or train waits can add time.
Does T3 have direct Line 3 access?
No. The airport lists Line 10 at T3. Line 3 serves T2.
Can I store luggage or buy a SIM?
Ask airport information for the current counter, hours and eligibility before depending on the service. Carry your original passport for identity checks.
Can I connect to a train?
Plan a separate journey to the station on the rail booking. Include the airport exit, transfer, station security and boarding.
